Costs of living Helsinki is Finland’s southern capital, sits on a peninsula in the Gulf of Finland. Cost of living in Helsinki is approx. 700 € - 800 €. It mainly depends on rental expense, your choice of accommodation and your personal living habits.

Academic admission requirements Eligibility to apply for bachelor’s degree programmes depends on having completed at least one of the following: the Finnish matriculation examination an International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma a European Baccalaureate (EB) diploma a Reifeprüfung (RP) diploma or Deutsche Internationale Abitur (DIA) diploma vocational qualifications of three years or more in duration a Finnish vocational upper secondary qualification or a further or specialist vocational qualification as a competence-based qualification, or a comparable previous qualification or a foreign qualification that provides eligibility for higher education studies in the awarding country
Language requirements The teaching language of the degree programme is English, enabling students to work in an international environment. To succeed in studies in the degree programme, the student must have an excellent command of the English language. The applicant’s language proficiency is assessed in the entrance examination. The applicants need not submit documents on their language proficiency.

Possibility of finding part-time employment Finding a part-time/Minijob work for International students can be difficult, especially if you do not have Finnish language skills (or Swedish language skill, in some areas of Finland). Therefore, we suggest full-degree students in particular to learn the local language!. Student can work upto 25 hours a week. Always check your residence permit regulations.
