About the programme The research master’s Archaeology is a two-year programme designed for talented students pursuing an academic career in archaeology. Tailor-made, one-on-one research trajectory The research master's programme is an advanced two-year postgraduate programme with an even higher research component than the Master’s programme, and provides excellent scope for individual student initiative. The Research Master programme in Archaeology focuses on the research areas that are strongly represented in Leiden. The heart of the programme is organised around the excellent research with which Leiden has made a name for itself internationally. | Accommodation Details | Like many universities in the Netherlands, Leiden University does not have a central campus or student dormitories. Instead, our faculties are spread throughout the cities of Leiden and The Hague and students live in accommodation rented via housing organisations and landlords. In general, students are expected to arrange their own housing. However, for international students, Leiden University Housing Office reserves a limited number of rooms each year for early applicants. The number of housing applications always greatly exceeds the number of reserved rooms.
